Home-based Business Success Tip: There's No Such Thing As a Free Lunch

Description:

It is said that "There's a sucker born every minute." That might have been the case in the 1850s when this adage was first coined (NOT by Mr. Barnum BTW), but judging by the incredible quantity of scams posted on the Internet-particularly in the home business industry- there must be one born every second nowadays! Unfortunately, 'free-lunch' is a BizzBuster! Want a great BizzBuilder? Try 'value-for-value'.

Content:

"There's no such thing as a free lunch!" That proverb has been traced back to around 1950. It means that nothing in life is free; you can't get something for nothing. And if it appears to be free, somebody somewhere is paying for it.

That is extremely valuable information to keep in mind when you're surfing the Net looking for a home-based business. Beware the "nothing (down) for something" SCAMS! They go against ALL the generally accepted rules of business and commerce.

Business and commerce started eons ago. At first, it took the form of barteringexchanging goods for goods. I'll trade my fish for 3 pieces of your firewood. Then 'money' was invented in the form of seashells, beads, or pieces of metal. Aardvaak pays you 3 seashells for your fish, and you go across the village and pay Oodwarg 2 seashells for some firewood, which leaves you one seashell to buy bread from Mharyang on the way home.

It's still how we do business todayexcept we now use coins & bills, credit cards, debit cards, money orders, bank drafts, bank wires, checks, email transfers, or PayPal. But it's ALWAYS in exchange for something, be it goods or services. If not, the police is called in to investigateor at least they should be.

I'm a business person. I have products for sale, and I have a business opportunity. To get either one, you'll have to pay money. It's a value-for-value proposition; your money for my product and / or opportunity. Fair and square. And on top of that, if you want to succeed with my business opportunity, you'll have to do some work. Again, value (your sweat & elbow grease) for value (a substantial residual income).

"The concept of value-for-value is the foundation for all sound, harmonious human relationships. Value-for-value is another way of saying 'win-win'. The surest way to succeed in any endeavor is to make certain that ALL parties to a transaction come out ahead."
Robert J. Ringer, philosopher and bestselling author

No free lunch. Everything has a price. As it should be. Warren Buffet once said, ""Price is what you pay. Value is what you get." Or as I like to say, "You always get what you pay for; you pay nothing, you'll get nothing."

You're probably wondering why on Earth I'm spending so much time expanding on something so obvious. Because for some unexplainable reason, many otherwise intelligent people (who would never consider walking out the door of the liquor store with a case of wine they did not pay forunless they're looking for a way to spend a night in jail) act like idiots when they're on the Net searching for a home-based business opportunity.

As if all of a sudden, because they're navigating the virtual world, all the laws of commerceparticularly the practice of value-for-valueno longer apply. And they'll get sucked in the most ludicrous scams. Like "free business opportunity", or "no money down turnkey homebased business" or "you do no work, we do it all for you." On that last one, if that was true, if they indeed do ALL the work, why would they not keep ALL the profits?

Come on people, put your thinking cap back on. Let's be real; a business costs moneyeven in the 'virtual' world. It costs money to start and to grow. And it takes some work too. Those people should stop fooling themselves and waste their time responding to those idiotic ads that pollute the Internet. If they believe crap like "Turn $35 into $10,000 a month, for life!", the next thing the scammers will sell them is some ocean-front property in Arizona.

You know what song is playing in the scammers' head while he's processing some sucker's credit card? The words are from a very popular song of the mid-eighties; "The lights are on, but you're not home, your mind is not your own..." They'll probably sing that too as they're walking and laughing all the way to the bank!

Enough negative stuff already. Let's close this article with valuable words of wisdom from three very successful philosophers-businesspeople;

"Creating legitimate value is the straightest line between where you are now and where you want to be. It is a major component of getting what you want in life. It doesn't matter how fast or how hard you work if your efforts don't create value for others. And creating value stems from passion; passion stems from belief in what you're doing; belief in what you're doing stems from working at something you not only are good at, but enjoy. When you get all these factors going in the right direction, you have no trouble being motivated to do whatever it takes to succeed. There is nothing quite so exhilarating as working yourself to the point of exhaustion for months, or even years, then being handsomely rewarded for your efforts in the marketplace. Every human being should treat himself to this drug-free high at least once in his lifetime." Robert J. Ringer

Zig Ziglar is famous for saying, "You gotta put something in FIRST if you want to get something out". He usually makes that statement while operating on stage an old-fashion water pump.

"Money is a measure of the value that people place on goods and services. The amount of money you earn in a competitive market is the measure of value that others place on your contribution. So, to increase the amount of money you are getting out, you must increase the value of the work that you are putting in." Brian Tracy, in The Laws of Money

Cash Back Shopping: a Boon for Marketers!

Description:

shopping is now being done on Internet and its popularity is growing by every passing day

Content:

Time has changed everything. There is not a single thing on this earth which has not changed with changing times. Even the way shopping was done has changed. People now don't prefer to go to the shops, instead they prefer to place orders for whatever they need on Internet from the comfort of their homes.

Yes, shopping is now being done on Internet and its popularity is growing by every passing day. There are various reasons why this mode of marketing is gaining popularity. First of all, apart from the obvious comfort of shopping from home it also grants a plethora of other benefits which are proving to be of immense enticement for people who find these deals simply irresistible.

One deal which goes a long way in popularising Internet marketing is cash back shopping. The mechanics of cash back shopping is very simple. One can purchase anything from cash back portals on the net and earn certain amount as an incentive. This is made possible by dealers who shell out some amount from the commission that they get on selling the products. This makes the whole deal extremely attractive and far-far better than conventional shopping.

This whole deal is extremely enticing and as such a lot of traffic is being directed towards the sites that offer this fantastic service. This phenomenon is now being witnessed across the globe. In UK also its popularity is continuously on rise. However, what should not be forgotten is the fact that some portals can give a high cash back percentage while some low, depending on the policy of the portal.

Cash back shopping is immensely popular in UK as well as in other parts of the world and it can safely be said that it is here to stay. After all who will not like to buy a product from the comfort of his home rather than bearing the trouble of going to a store and queuing up. The incentives that cash back shopping offers is like icing on the cake and undoubtedly one major attraction of cash back shopping.

Tips To Get A Discounted Airfare

Description:

Traveling by air has become an adventure and one can get the best out of it by being in the know. Fierce competition among airlines and an increased number or flights as well as options just means added benefits for passengers.

Content:

Traveling by air has become an adventure and one can get the best out of it by being in the know. Fierce competition among airlines and an increased number or flights as well as options just means added benefits for passengers.

There are ways and means of making considerable savings on airfares. Here are a few thoughts:

• If you are flexible about travel dates often you can make a saving of over $100 or more. You just need to visit sites like Travelocity http://www.travelocity.com which give flexible travel date airfares.

• If you are net savvy keep a watch on fare watcher on My Yahoo and you will learn how to monitor prices on a daily basis and how to snag a low price. In this case however, you will need to know your travel dates well in advance and be open to many options.

• Benefit by signing up for being intimated by e-mail of discounted fares for unsold flights and special promos being offered by airlines.

• If you have time and patience offer to be bumped off a full or over booked flight. If you are a good negotiator you can get huge discounts, vouchers, as well as a free flight. You need to know the intricacies of air travel.

• The largest savings are made when you book early at least three weeks to one month before the scheduled departure. Fares can range from $444 for booking 5 days before to $ 192 if booked 26 days before a flight.

• Find out which day of the week flights go empty and plan to travel then. Studies show that most people like traveling on week ends and Monday but the mid- week is comparatively rush free. Look up the fares and you may find that the difference can be as much as $ 100 or more.

• If you destination has more than one airport check what it costs to fly to either. Often the saving can be as much as $ 200 when you choose a less crowded airport and funnily enough the distance from the airport to your destination may be the same from the alternative airport. Check on sites like Orbitz, Kayak, or Travelocity to access list of alternative airports and a fare comparison.

• Choose round trip or multi-destination fares. This is a considerable saving of over US$ 500 and more. Most airlines have multi-city specials so if your work or holiday travel encompasses more than one destination consider such options.

Be travel smart and surf the web to make a comparison chart. Check out travel sites, agencies, as well as the airlines themselves. Whether you are traveling within the country or abroad there are wonderful deals to be availed. Read as many travel articles and tips given by travel gurus as you can and soon you will be master of "cheap travel."

Resume And Cover Letter Goes Hand In Hand

Description:

Resumes and cover letters play a very important role in the lives of many applicants. But some applicants might be confused about it. They would ask about its differences. Well, both are giving information to the employer.

Content:

Resumes and cover letters play a very important role in the lives of many applicants.

But some applicants might be confused about it. They would ask about its differences. Well, both are giving information to the employer. A resume can be sent with or without a cover letter. However, cover letters should never be sent to an employer without a resume.

Cover letters always accompany resumes. A cover letter contains the summary of the credentials of a potential job seeker. A resume contains the detailed information about the applicant.

Some companies may either prefer just the resumes. However, many companies are asking for a resume along with a cover letter. They believe that lost time will be minimized by reading the cover letters instead of browsing the entire resume.

Besides the slight difference of a cover letter from a resume, both follow the key factors to help an applicant standout from other applicants within a very tight competition. Rest assured that you will be successful in getting interviews.

1.The key element of both resumes and cover letter is to give information. Make sure that it responds to what an employer needs from their applicants. Review the advertisement. It will help you better on what you are going to write. Select your best accomplishments that will directly match to the qualifications needed. It will increase your chance of getting an interview.

2.The employer should be interested in hiring you. Your potential as a professional must be seen. It is important that you will become an asset to the company. Focus on the things that you can offer instead of what you can gain from your employer.

3.Never waste the time of your potential employer by submitting lengthy resumes and cover letters. Always make it direct to the point. The employer should immediately recognize you as their best candidate. Avoid writing a chronological resume. Your experiences and accomplishments related to the job you are applying for must be put on top. This will also be the content of your cover letter.

4.It should both market your abilities and skills. Your resume must never appear as listings of your previous work experiences. Extract the abilities and skills that will be most applicable to the job you are applying for.

5.Avoid any mistakes. Check your grammar, punctuation, word usage, and spelling. This is a very critical factor. It can give a bad impression about your personality. Your employer can entirely be frustrated if he will find any error on your resume and cover letter. Don't be surprised if you are denied for an interview.

6.Always use a good writing format. Resumes and cover letters should be well-written, simple, and creative. These are not just pieces of papers. Both resumes and cover letters allow your employer to give his first impression on your talents, skills, and professional standards.

7.Never forget to include your contact information. If possible maintain a close contact with your employer.

8.Make sure that your resumes and cover letters have the same type of quality papers and printed using the same type of printer or ink.

Never say that you will just express yourself during the interview. Remember, resumes and cover letters decides your destiny. Badly written resumes and cover letters might decrease or entirely deny you from getting an interview.

Realizing Your Work-At-Home Dreams --Three Steps Necessary

Description:

Learn how you can follow a proven path to financial success in any self-employment endeavor. This short report saves you time and money. Do they really work? Yes, with these three money making steps you can excel in any home business.

Content:

If I had known what I know now, my success would have been greater and much quicker. I've spent 10 years getting up to speed because I didn't have access to these special secrets.

Now I am able to share these prosperity tools with you... so you, too, can have success working in any home business.

Does this sound good?

Yes, with these three money making steps you can excel in any home business.

All this is available without working any harder than you already do. You might even work less once the process gets going.

Here are the three steps:

1. Your home-based business success (or success in anything) depends on your thoughts... (fears and expectations.)

You can THINK your way to success like many others have done. There is no reason to have to keep starting over and over, hoping that the next opportunity is the magic one to strike gold.

The proven path is one that happens in the consciousness (the mind set) of the entrepreneur.

It all happens between the ears. The mind can propel you into outrageous success or it can make you work very hard for little in return.

Could it be this simple?

Yes, your thoughts are very important in achieving success. Think about the many choices you make everyday. You can choose how you will think and what you will think about any circumstance.

Listening to your own self-talk is extremely beneficial.

Clean up your negative self-talk because the subconscious mind considers your words and thoughts to be its orders. It is important for you to identify words and phrases creating just the opposite direction from what you intend in your life. And it pays to increase the positive self-talk.

It doesn't matter what self-employment you already have or even if you want to start a home based part time business, expand or boost your present business, mlm, network marketing, or just working at a job -- it works for all.

You need to be sure the thoughts that you are thinking are supporting you. When you have negative thoughts they are creating the very thing that you fear will happen. Thoughts are things. They need to be monitored and pointed toward success.

Successful people do not allow unsuccessful thoughts!

2. You need to feel WORTHY in order to make and receive large quantities of money.

Let me start by explaining that these secrets I've found are not really new.

Information on manifestation of financial dreams has been given to us over and over down through the ages. A few years ago I found a 1912 prosperity lesson plan that sold for $1500 in 1920. Only the rich could afford these lessons back them. Those who studied this work became the multi millionaire families of the 20's and the 30's.

Here's one small section from a lesson on worthiness from 1912 manuscript:

"We can best conserve our interests by recognizing the Infinite Power and Infinite Wisdom of the Universal Mind, and in this way become a channel whereby the Infinite can bring about the realization of our desire.

"This means that recognition brings about realization, therefore for your exercise this week make use of the principle, recognize the fact that you are a part of the whole, and that a part must be the same in kind and quality as the whole; the only difference there can possibly be, is in degree."

Can a spark from a bonfire be any less than the fire except in degree?

The author is telling us, "...by recognizing that we are part of the whole comes the realization of our dreams."

The dream could be... unlimited wealth and prosperity, expansion of our home business, choosing a successful home business, to have plenty of time and money for family vacations, to find the perfect relationship, and/or whatever.

I would like to add... once we have the realization that we're not separate... we will feel more worthy to receive all of the Infinite Mind's (God's) abundance.

We can't receive success and prosperity until we feel worthy... no matter how hard we each work.

The number two secret to financial success is feeling worthy, but how do we arrive at that feeling?

When we realize who and what we are how can we NOT feel worthy to receive? What are we? Are we not a spark from the fire? Did we not come from the whole? Are we not a chip off the old block? Yes, our consciousness is made in the same image... therefore we are worthy.

We deserve the manifestation of our work at home business dreams or any other dream.

The fear of being unworthy is possibly the largest stumbling block to the realization of most of our dreams....

You may want the whole story!

There will be a link in the author's box to get full procedure e-book "How To Triple Your Home Business Income..." plus receive free the 1912 prosperity lesson plan as a bonus. It sold for $1500 back then.

3. Have a BURNING PASSION for the success of your self-employment and never give up. The universe will eventually yield to you—anything you hold in your mind consistently.

By wanting more for yourself and financial success for your family you are also helping the whole community. We're not here alone. In some way we're all connected.

You are making a difference when you chose success and take the necessary steps and training to become even more successful!

As each one of us has even more success we're making a path for others to follow. As you experience each little step toward your overall success, give yourself a pat on the back and express a thought of gratitude to those who are a little ahead of you.

Adopt the attitude that... if one of us can make money from working from home then we all can.

You can do it also! (You deserve much success.)

Thanks for being an essential part of the expanding Universal Consciousness.

Christopher Robinson's 5 Basic Steps To Online Success

Description:

When you start your own business it is very important to plan ahead and know what your goals are and how to achieve them. With these 5 steps you will be able to not only own your own business but to be successful and finally achieve financial success.

Content:

Copyright © 2006 Christopher Robinson

Starting out: 5 steps to start your business

  1. Your plan
  2. Your concept
  3. Defining your market
  4. Your product or service (can be affiliate programs)
  5. Marketing your product

Your plan: Business is no different from any project you want to do. The 1st thing to do is to make a plan:

Decide what your goals are-write them down Make a rough time frame to achieve them Decide how much time you can realistically apply to your business Set aside a special time of day to devote exclusively to your business Make a daily schedule Make a weekly schedule Allocate a realistic amount of money that you will set aside in a separate account for your business. Make sure you do not overspend on your budget but at the same time do not starve your business. Set aside some money for marketing and some for developing and running your business.

Your concept:

Write down several topics that interest you and several areas that you have expertise in. Go through the list and see which ones you really love doing. Decide on a topic that really interests you and think how you can build your business around it.

Defining your market: When you start a business you will need to establish a market.

Who will be interested in the same topic that you have chosen? What products or services will they need and want- Check on overture search tool by putting in your topic keyword. It will tell you how many searches have been done- this will be your demand Check in the search engine like Google-this will bring up how many websites for this topic there are. These are your competition and represent supply Try to find something that has high demand and less supply-go through your list until you find the best one this will be your niche market Analyze your proposed customer Who are they What interests them Where will you find them (websites, discussion boards, forums and publications Make a thumbnail sketch of your most wanted customer

Developing a product or service: Based on your concept and market you can now decide what you can sell. Affiliate programs are the best to begin with as you will not have to set up any payment systems and can start immediately

Marketing your product: at first you will sell or pre sell to your market, as you will not have a website or newsletter. This called direct marketing and can be done by:

Advertising in ezines, that are related to your topic (remember to target these well) Start small with classifieds to test the publications and then go onto larger ads for better exposure. Advertising on related websites: you will need small classifieds for this Article distribution:-write or have written several articles about your business and distribute them to related publications, websites and article directories/libraries. An article distribution service is best for this. Always test track and record all your advertising.

Passive advertising: letting your customer come to you this is your second step in marketing and involves: Making your own website to attract leads Making your newsletter to capture leads Once you have established your website and newsletter you will drive traffic to the website By search engine submission Linking Pay-per-click and Google Adwords

These are the 5 basic steps to establishing your online business. In the coming issues we will go into each point in more detail to show you exactly how you can start and develop a realistic business, that will really make you money and gain you financial independence.

This Has Gotta Be The Most Exciting and Powerful Alternative Job Hunting Strategy!

Description:

You have to appreciate discovering the huge advantage you have when you do your homework and you come to a face-to-face meeting or interview armed with critical insider information.

Content:

If you've been in the job market recently, you already know it's tough. Not because there aren't excellent job opportunities out there. But because employers' expectations are so much more demanding.

Employers want you to come in prepared to demonstrate that you've done your homework. They expect you've taken the time to learn about their organization and its goals. They also require that you show very specifically how you can make a contribution to the company's bottom line.

If you understand the purpose and value of this information from the employer's point of view, then you'll also appreciate discovering the huge advantage you have when you do your homework and you come to a face-to-face meeting or interview armed with critical insider information.

You are ready to implement one of the most powerful and exciting alternative job search strategies around. It's called "job creation!"

That's right! You can actually create a job for yourself on the spot. Here's what to do (after you've done your homework):

1. List in writing the specific areas within the company where you bring something unique to the table. This is not a review of your work history. Indicate the specific areas within the organization where your proposal would apply.

2. Send an email or letter to the decision-maker who would have an active interest in the kind of proposal you wish to present. Do NOT ask for a job. Rather, briefly outline the specifics you bring for solving a certain problem, or contributing to growth, or opening up new doors for the company, etc. Then ask to meet for a discussion of your ideas or proposal. Indicate you'd like to call shortly to set up such a meeting.

3. Prepare a "Bio-Action" resume specifically designed to back up your proposal.

4. Do NOT go in for an interview, but rather to discuss your proposal to see if there's any interest. What's exciting about this approach is that neither you nor the employer is under any pressure to make a job decision. An opportunity can emerge if you are good at showing the value you bring to the table. Once again this takes preparation--doing your homework.

When you approach a carefully targeted organization and the specific decision-maker who could have a genuine interest in you, you've dramatically moved the odds in favor of a discovering a hidden opportunity for yourself. And you've eliminated all the competition!

3 Key Points To Remember When Writing For The Web

Description:

While many writers are eager to write for the Internet, it is important to consider the key differences between writing for a traditional print audience and an Internet audience.

Content:

While many writers are eager to write for the Internet, it is important to consider the key differences between writing for a traditional print audience and an Internet audience. Keeping these three points in mind will help you achieve success with your Internet writing ventures.

Writing for the Internet is different from traditional publishing formats in three essential ways:

~ Audience
~ Format
~ Lifespan

It is important to consider each difference while writing.

While audience is always a key consideration for any writer audience consideration is a primary factor for Internet writers. While the basic considerations of audience (who do you expect to be your primary reading audience?) remain the same there are some important differences.

First, it is important to remember that in traditional publications your audience is somewhat captive. Once they have actually picked up or purchased a print media they are likely to at least give it a few pages before ditching it. However, on the Internet the audience can move away from your words with a click of the button so you need to be focused and on target. You can't take time for a slow buildup or meandering discussion. If you (the writer) do not seem to be delivering the goods then the reader will simply move on. This does not mean you need to cater to the lowest denominator but it does mean that you need to know your audience as well as how to respond to that audience's needs and desires.

Another important point is that many Internet readers scan documents quickly before committing themselves to reading. It is important to write clearly and concisely as well as use punchy headlines and subheadings as well as catchy introductions and conclusions as these are key points for scanning.

While at first glance Internet documents appear to mimic traditional print documents there are many major differences. One of the most important is the entry point. A search engine may deliver readers to some point in the middle or end of your document. If you have written a coherent and cohesive piece then those readers may well move back to the beginning to read properly. In response to this, and the scanning readers mentioned above, it is best to break longer documents into several stand-alone pieces that can work together as a whole or as separate documents if approached in that manner.

Finally, an important difference between traditional publications and Internet publications is lifespan. While the apparent lifespan of many electronic documents appears to be fleeting that is not in fact true. Newspaper and magazine articles in print publications may only be current for a day, week or month but be archived on the Internet. Internet publications are frequently archived on the Internet for years. So while it is important as a writer to be fresh and current also keep in mind that your reader may access your words at some undetermined point in the future.

Keeping these three key points -- audience, format, and lifespan -- in mind when writing for the Internet will help you achieve greater writing success.

How To Write A Post-interview Thank You Letter

Sending a thank you letter is as important as interview preparation. But they're tough to write, so people either tell themselves that not sending one doesn't matter, or they procrastinate until it's too late and almost pointless anyway. But anyone who tells themselves that foregoing a fundamental rule of etiquette doesn't matter, not only taints themselves in the mind of the interviewer, but misses two additional opportunities to sell.

A thank you letter is an additional sales piece. As I've said before, you're selling a product and the product is you. So beyond the reason of etiquette, the letter sells you as a polite person who recognizes that the interviewer gave them something valuable: time and consideration.

A fundamental rule of sales is to keep the product in front of the buyer and reinforce its benefits. So beyond the etiquette, the letter gives you ample space to comment on what you liked about the company, why your skills are of benefit to them, and how much you're interested. If something wasn't tied up, or was left unsatisfactorily, you should use the space to further address the issue.

When you miss the opportunity to reinforce your skills and tie them to the job requirements, you miss a chance to sell. When you fail to address a concern or answer a question and leave it to fester in the mind of the interviewer, you've failed to overcome an objection. And if a buyer has an objection to the product, if it isn't addressed, the likelihood of the sale is slim.

The third opportunity missed by skipping the thank you letter is the chance to keep your name in front of the buyer. Read newspapers? Watch TV? See the same ads over and over and over again? It's somewhat the same principle - if you keep your name in front of the hiring authority, they're more likely to remember you.

Thank you letters are one of the reasons it's important to take notes during an interview. Not only does it show good attention to detail, it saves you from having to scrunch your face up trying to remember some of the information you learned about the company and position during the interview. Because if you met with three separate people during one visit to the company, that's three thank you letters....three different thank you letters.

So let's look at how to create one of these so that it becomes a less odious task.

• First paragraph
Open with the obligatory thank you and include how you enjoyed the meeting. Say why. Maybe the people you met were exceptional. Perhaps their company philosophy was exactly what you had hoped for. Or they need to overhaul a department and you can't wait to sink your teeth into it because that's what you've got a stellar track record of doing. It doesn't matter. Pick something out, and put it down. But make it real.

• Second paragraph
What took place during your interview? Pull out a piece of information that pleased you, say what it was, and tell them why. For instance: I was particularly pleased to find that X company/the opportunity/your management style has/was/is/does whatever. This is exciting because...... . You can expand on whatever it is for a few sentences by elaborating: how it relates to something you've experienced and liked -- or didn't like. Discuss a particular aspect of the job you find appealing and reiterate why you'd be successful at it or how long you've been performing it or how similar it is to something you've done in the past.

• Third paragraph
You can add a similar paragraph if the second was fairly short. Or you can wind it up if it was a bit lengthy. If there was something that came up that needed clarification or about which they were dubious, address it and clear it up here.

• Fourth paragraph
Wind it up. Re-iterate your interest. Be enthusiastic! Leave the job speak behind. If you really want to be hired, let your interest shine through. There's nothing wrong with coming right out and saying, "I'd love to work with X company!"

Caution: Don't start every sentence with "I". It may be the easiest way to write the letter but it's not only repetitive, it's a turn off and egotistical. This process is about you getting a job, but it's about what they get out of it if they hire you.

If you really want the job, the letter will be easy to write because it will contain genuine impressions and sentiments. If you choose to skip the letter, perhaps you don't care if you're hired or not. But make that decision yours and withdraw from the process instead of letting the decision be made for you.

Best Marketing Strategies to Advertise your Garage Sale

Description:

Here you can find how to improve your Yard or Garage Sales Performance. We even can guarantee you to triple up your Yard or Garage Sales performance.

Content:

The first step every garage sale organizer must take to reach his sales objectives is utilizing creative marketing strategies. There is no way for your garage sale to succeed without people knowing about it. Because there are scores of garage sales that are being held everyday, you need to find ways to make your garage sale different from all the rest. You need to start distinguishing yourself with the types of ads that are available.

Advertising thru the Internet
Online advertisements have been gaining popularity with garage sale owners because it’s free and able to reach many people in a short span of time.

Blog about It – Blogs are one of the greatest phenomenon ever produced by the Internet. Create your own blog and use it to advertise your garage sale. Contact friends who own blogs as well and ask them to post an entry about your garage sale.

Joining Forums – Forums are created for any number of reasons. Join the ones that focus on lifestyle, shopping and life in general. These forums usually have sections where members can post important events. That’s where you’d want your advertisement to show up!

Other Types of Advertisements
Post it in the Classifieds – It’s an age-old technique to advertise about garage sales. People who don’t own blogs or have time to check out signs tacked on posts are sure to have time for reading newspapers. Posting an ad in the classifieds section is one way of letting these people know about your garage sale.

Nail It – No advertising strategy for garage sales is considered complete without making sign boards about your event. Ask your artistically gifted friends to draw signs for your garage sale. If your garage sale has a theme, make sure the signboards reflect it. Your sign boards must be as attention-getting as possible without being considered garish.

Pass It On – Ask another favor from your talented acquaintances and have them design your flyers for you. Assign your assistants to distribute these flyers in strategically located places like grocery stores, malls, parks and schools.

Word of Mouth – This is the time when you need to be your most loquacious self. If you are known for being too talkative, now is the time to put your talent to good use. Talk to as many people as you can to let the word get around about your imminent garage sale.

Keep a checklist of these advertisement tips and make sure that you’ve accomplished them all as early as two weeks prior to the event. Good luck!

Is Business Coaching Meant for You

Description:

Business coaching is conducted primarily to have a competitive advantage in the market. Most companies that opt for business coaching already have high revenues.

Content:

Business coaching is conducted primarily to have a competitive advantage in the market. Most companies that opt for business coaching already have high revenues. Most established businesses find it a worthwhile investment for increasing productivity, management efficiency, and income. It can be very effective in proprietary businesses, especially when the management is planning to expand, achieve yearly objectives, or sort out day-to-day problems.

Business coaching is meant for businesses that are growing at a very rapid rate. Fast growing businesses need to constantly recruit new employees and arrange for the required amount of capital for expansion. This can very often create problems related to workforce management, resource allocation, and delegation of authority and responsibility. Although these problems have very little effect on the bottom line, in time, these problems can manifold and can seriously start affecting productivity and profits along with the competitive advantage that the business had in the first place. Owners of fast growing businesses have little time to manage day-to-day problems, as most of their time goes into planning and managing expansion plans. Business coaching enables businesses to prioritize their objectives and allocate time and resources to each component of productivity in proportion to their relative contribution.

Businesses that have failed in the past and are starting out fresh can also benefit from professional business coaches as they help in identifying mistakes made in the past, break free from inefficient management practices, and create positive new ones. Business coaching is for businesses that want to benefit from a fresh point of view provided by professional coaches who offer an unbiased opinion about the business, and give the right kind of advice without any ulterior motives. Business coaching plays an advisory role and does not directly affect the decisions of the management related to recruitment, salary hikes, bonuses, and cost cutting. It is a mutual partnership wherein the business coach identifies business goals and resources, and suggests the most suitable path for achieving the planned objectives.

The duration of business coaching depends on how much time the management is willing to commit to working with a business coach. If the aim is to learn goal-setting skills or create marketing plans, then a coaching session of four to eight weeks is sufficient to cover the subject. However, if the objective is to receive advice on a regular basis, then business coaching can continue for months or even years, depending on what your goals are, the manner in which you want to work with your coach, and how often you intend to meet with your coach. If the business has identified long-term goals over a period of several years, then it is imperative to continue business coaching as it enables and ensures that the company stays on track until the completion of the goals. By making an investment in business coaching, businesses have and will continue to receive motivation, training, guidance, and mentoring that will insure growth and increased profitability. The investment is small considering the ROI achieved through the business coaching relationship.

The All New Accelerated Nursing Program Guide

Description:

There is such a high demand for people to enter the field of nursing that many new programs are being developed and existing programs expanded to certify more nurses in a record-breaking short time.

There is such a high demand for people to enter the field of nursing that many new programs are being developed and existing programs expanded to certify more nurses in a record-breaking short time. There are a number of options available and an accelerated nursing program is usually the most popular option among those who want to enter the field of medicine. Some people, especially cautious patients, may not be comfortable with the knowledge that nurses can be trained in very little time. However, a good accelerated nursing program will ensure that the future nurse master all the skills required for the job.

One thing to consider is the traits of a good nurse. The skills required to be an effective nurse are not completely cultivated in the classroom. Some people have the natural flare to be in this field while others will never master the job regardless of how many hours they spend in the classroom. An accelerated nursing program recognizes that the technical skills need to be targeted while the more subtle skills that the job requires are often present in the individual. Many patients have encountered the perfect nurse but few of us think about why that person was so good at his job.

Now, we can list some qualities that make a good nurse and can not be taught. Recall your best encounter with a nurse. She probably had the ability to put you at ease and make you smile despite your pain with just a few gentle words. Or she could simply make you feel relaxed through her graceful demeanor and caring approach. Now consider your worst encounter with a nurse. She was probably rough and did not display any emotions. Maybe she was contemptuous and cynical. She may have made you feel as if you were a burden or a weakling. She could have technically done everything "right" but you just feel more terrible after seeing her.

Articulating such qualities in your caregiver is often difficult. There is something about the person that helps you through the difficult situation but you are not sure how to put it in words. Of course, an accelerated nursing program does not go into depth on developing such qualities. Neither does an extended, traditional program. Bedside manner is briefly covered in an accelerated nursing program but it is equally addressed in the traditional school. The nurse who made you feel uneasy was probably unaware of her effect on you. She was focused on doing her technical job right.

The fundamental difference between the good nurse and the bad one is their attitude towards the profession. The first nurse is caring for a person and she recognizes this. She leaves a good impression in your heart and lifts your spirits. The second nurse just tries to finish her job and leaves. She leaves no mark at all.

The explosion of IT job agencies throughout the United Kingdom over the last decade recognizes the need for IT talent throughout various industries. As well, IT agencies have grown out of a need to bring together a growing pool of graduate talent in a few places where they can learn to become strong professionals. However, graduates who utilize IT job agencies should not commit themselves wholeheartedly without setting some expectations. After all, investing time and energy into a recruiting firm can lead to disappointment when recruiters cannot find the right job for a graduate.

One of the most important expectations a graduate should have from their IT job agency is constant communication. Graduates who are waiting to hear back about a potential position that they interviewed for a week ago want to know everything that is being done to promote their candidacy. As well, potential job openings and opportunities need to be communicated to graduates as soon as possible. Telephone and e-mail communications make it simple for a recruiter to stay in touch with their recruits.

Another expectation that graduates need to have from their job agency is a certain level of services. This level depends on the career goals and aspirations of an individual graduate, but there is a certain minimal level of services necessary from an IT job agency. Job agencies need to offer CV and application reviews, along with an assessment by recruiters of how a candidate should improve themselves in order to get a job. As well, job agencies should offer coaching or professional development beyond placement to help young IT professionals.

Graduates working with IT job agencies also need to expect a certain level of prestige among IT recruiting firms and the general IT marketplace. This is a more subjective measure, though a review of a recruiter’s portfolio can speak volumes about how other companies view the job agency. A list including a variety of different clients, including major players in the UK economy, should be a sign of prestige and hard work for graduates interested in working with a job agency.

In the end, an IT professional needs to make a decision about the type of firm they want to work with. The aforementioned criteria can be important in narrowing the list of possible recruiters. The ultimate decision, however, must come from a professional’s heart. An IT professional needs to go with their gut and determine the best course for their individual needs.
