For most people getting up in the morning is a hard slog, especially if it is a Monday morning and you know what is waiting ahead for you, and that is why so many people are now becoming self employed.

There are three types of Internet marketers: Those who take action, those who take a little action and those who take no action and just read information. The third type should not even be considered Internet marketers because they do nothing at all. If you are one of the first two than you have a fighting chance but you are still not there yet. Even if you take action you are still one of the 95% who don't make money online at home.

My favorite saying is that the definition of crazy means doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results the next time. This is a trap that many marketers fall into. If you are trying something out like a marketing method and it does not get good results than don't do it at all or modify it until it works! If you keep on doing the same thing you will get the same results.

Your first step towards success is to TAKE ACTION IMMEDIATELY! Don't wait and don't think about it, just do it and if you fail do it again till you succeed! And remember just because something worked for one person does not mean that it will work the same with you. You have to experiment and find your own methods that are your specialty.

My next bit of advice would be to stop reading and buying into every information product that comes out. How many times have you seen the same old sales letter and same old information about how to make money online at home or how to make a million dollars with affiliate marketing or Ebay. Please folks stop buying into this. I am going to let you in on a little Internet marketing secret which is that there are no secrets and most of this information is available freely if you search for it.

Does this describe you? You come home from work at night and go online to search for a way to make money online at home and finally quit your job. You read the latest sales page from some million dollar a year marketing guru and he promises that if you buy his product your life is set and you have very little work to do on your part. You start to get filled with excitement with the thought of riches running through your hands as you pull out your credit card.

After you download the latest E-book or software you read through it with hope and optimism and feel really good about the plan put in front of you. "This is it!" you tell yourself. You go to bed that night with millions of ideas running through your head about starting your business. At work the next day you can't wait to get home and get started on your retirement.

When you finally get home you go online and search around a bit for and for some reason you just can't get started. After a while depression sets in and than a couple of more offers get thrown your way promising you that their is still hope and don't give up yet. You buy another book and the whole process repeats itself. Before you know it you have thousands of dollars of E-books and nothing to show for it. Can you see where this cycle is going?

Don't give up just yet. I am not saying that these books are all garbage and their is nothing worth reading or trying. Did you most people who read books never take action on it. The very few who decide to take action are the ones who succeed. I am not going to get into what products are the best to buy. I am just telling you that you have to stop buying and start doing. Promise yourself that you will never visit another forum again or read another review or buy another program that promises.

I promise you that if you never buy another thing again you will not be missing anything. Many of these marketers are very good at playing with peoples emotions and they know exactly what people want and what makes them buy. Many of these make money online at home products are just the same information repacked with a new twist or sales page. So stop buying into all the hype and put a business plan into action. You can learn all the marketing secrets in the world or buy all the automated business tools but if they just sit on your hard drive you won't make a cent.

The main reason that many people quit and jump from program to program is that they are promised riches with little effort and don't take action on it. They than get frustrated and start to believe that it is the program and not themselves and than go and try and find the better deal. Look, there are many scams out there but any of the legitimate make money at home online programs or systems all have the same potential to make money. It does not matter who has the better compensation plan or higher commissions. It all depends on how bad you really want it and how much effort you are willing to put into it.

Last but not least is to take massive action and don't ever give up despite what anybody tells you and no matter what avoid all distractions and offers.

If you follow this simple advice I can guarantee that you will make money online at home. It's not really that hard and just about anybody can do it. Just believe in yourself and your abilities and have a little patience and in no time you will really be living the dream of being your own boss and quitting your job for good.

International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN) is the official association of forensic nurses established in 1992 by a team of nurses who specialize in sexual assault examination.

1. A Day In The Life

Contrary to popular belief forensic nurses don't spend their day hanging around with corpses. Examining victims of sexual assault and training colleagues how to treat violently injured patients eat up most of these nurses days. Training as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner is the entry-level position you need to obtain in order to break into forensic nursing. They could also examine victims of near-fatal or fatal traumas like shooting or stabbing.

A lot of forensic nurses work as nurse examiners in the emergency rooms in the hospitals. In cases like shooting or stabbing, the forensic nurse works in collecting bullets and other debris left in the body that will help in the investigation. Removing the clothes the victim is wearing and storing them in a special bags are also some of their duties. They also have to photograph and measure the wounds of the patients. In case the victim dies, the nurse has to work with the medical examiner (ME).

3. Other Considerations

Forensic nurses are qualified to testify in court as an expert witness or a fact witness. As an expert witness, the nurse is allowed to give his or her opinions while on the witness stands in order to shed light on the case. On the other hand, as a fact witness, the nurse is only to state the details and answer the questions. A forensic nurse should state the information in an objective manner. It means that he or she should not speak for or against either the victim or the accused. As the duty calls for it, the nurse only has to state the information he or she obtained, not make conjecture about what he or she thinks happened.

A forensic nurse should also know how to use different tools in order to document what he or she has gathered during the examination or treatment process.

Essentially this means that you not only have to check that an online college or university is accredited, but also that the accrediting agency is reputable as well. This may seem to be a lot of extra steps to have to go through, but doing so will help assure you that whatever distance learning degree program that you choose will be a wise investment for your future education and employment.

Distributor involvement is the key to effective downline training. Distributors attending training are preoccupied with their own thoughts and problems. Some are willing to learn and some are not. There are those who are open to new ideas and others who resist. How can you get them involved so that they can take ownership of their own learning during the training?

1. Put Yourself In The Learners' Shoes

When delivering training, there is course content to be covered. While this is important, priority has to be given to the fact that the learners are able to receive your content.

What better way than to put yourself into the learners' shoes and ask yourself a few questions that these learners have when attending training:

- What is this session about?
- Will it be of use to me?
- How can I apply this to the real world?
- What motivates me to attend this session?
- Is the content delivered in an easy and simple way?
- Are different teaching methods involved or is it a boring lecture?

Answering these questions to yourself will help you better prepare to deliver effective training.

2. Assessing Learner Needs

Checking out on learner needs is essential to get learner involvement. This task could be difficult due to time or information constraints. However, it is important and some kind of assessment will make a difference.

Some points for investigating learner needs are as follows:

- How many participants will be attending the session?
- How long have they been involved?
- What are their skill levels as applicable to the training subject?
- How will the training affect their current or future income generating prospects?

If this investigation is not possible before the training session, then when the session starts, it is a good idea to request the participants to introduce themselves and to mention what they would like to achieve from the training session.

3. Communicate With Your Learners

Communicating the objectives and program outline to the course attendees before the session will help them prepare for the training. Properly written, this communication can also be used to motivate the learners such that they will have a positive outlook towards the training.

If this is not done for some reason, then it is important that this be done at the start of the training.

Communication is two ways. Therefore, feedback from the learners must be somehow incorporated into the training. This is extra work. It will be much easier to just deliver the content as is, but the purpose of the training is to enable the learner via effective training, not just delivering content.

4. Switch On The Learners

However well you may be prepared to deliver the session, if the learners are not switched on, the training will not be very effective. Switched on learners will be ready to receive content, which means there is a need to conduct activities to achieve this.

Switching on activities include creative opening exercises that develop positive first impressions, which are crucial to gaining learner commitment. These warm up activities are learner-centered and content-relevant. The intent is to get learner involvement and for the trainer to develop relationships with the learners. These are not the same as icebreakers, which are usually used to entertain and energize learners.

When people arrive for the training, they are probably still preoccupied with their own problems and thoughts. The warm up exercises will also be a means of addressing this.

Training can be made effective with some extra effort in getting involvement and hence ownership for the training. You will find that the extra work pays off because you will find the session much more satisfying and feedback from the attendees will be positive.

When dealing with problems or adversity, salespeople generally fall into one of two categories—they’re either ‘life suckers’ or ‘life givers’. Life suckers blame others for their actions and results, whereas life givers take responsibility and ownership for their actions and get results. The top sales people are life givers. Those who are always looking for solutions to challenges are salespeople with a life giving attitude. They embrace the fact that their jobs—our jobs!—require that they act responsibility. Rather than wasting time tracing blame, they move forward by creating solutions.

As responsible adults, nobody makes us think or do anything. We are responsible for our actions as well as our thoughts, opinions, assumptions and conclusions. They belong to us. We choose to think or act a certain way. Taking responsibility is a matter of choice.

When someone says: the customer stressed me out; the prospect pressured me; or my manager made me do this, what they are really saying is that others control them. It’s as if they expect us to believe that some kind of “others” phantom crept into their body, taking control of what they think and do. Life does not imitate a Hollywood horror film. It’s up to each of us to choose how we feel and act.

As a side note – as a consultant I regularly am asked to evaluate talent on a sales team. There are tell tale signs of failure to me. One critical sign is the answer to this question:

Tell me about your last loss. What happened? A sales rep that makes excuses - “its shipping’s fault we lost the deal” is doomed to fail. A sales rep that takes ownership – “I should have qualified the lead better” is destined for greatness. My accuracy at determining success or failure of a rep is 95% with this one question.

Sure, bad things can happen—and they happen even to the best salespeople. None of us can choose or control every event that occurs in our lives—especially the ones that affect our business. Have you ever lost a sale to a prospect that was acquired before you had the contract signed? Have you ever had a sale to a government department wind up in limbo because of an unexpected spending freeze imposed while you were in final negotiations? These are examples of situations that as salespeople we can’t control—but we can always choose our response to how to deal with them.

Consider the conduct expected of first-year cadets at military colleges across North America. They are only allowed to respond to their instructors in one of three ways: “Yes Sir,” “No Sir,” and “No excuses, Sir!” If a cadet fails to complete an assignment (and the circumstances are deemed irrelevant), the cadet must assume responsibility by stating “No excuses, Sir!” The purpose here is to create an ownership (life giving) attitude. It’s that kind of self-discipline and ownership that will serve you well in your career.

How often have you neglected to follow-through on a commitment you made to yourself: making a specific number of cold calls in a day; completing a tough assignment; hitting your targets; or closing a sale with a specific customer? Does your personal life often reflect this habit? For instance, do you ever start a diet, an exercise program or a hobby and never carry it through? Has it ever reached the point that when you decide on a goal, your inner voice says: “Who are you kidding? You’ll never follow through!” Those kinds of lies undermine your confidence to address issues and to effect change. That’s why it’s important for you to train and condition to believe yourself.

Here are four exercises you can try every day to make sure your attitude is an ownership attitude:

1. Associate only with life-givers

You have complete control over who you spend your time with, so choose wisely. Being around positive people will improve your outlook and your attitude. This is not easy and it does require cutting off access to people you know are life suckers. Short term pain for long term gain – and profits!

2. Look good to feel good!

The following exercise is something learned from Anthony Robbins, a master of human performance. Take note of your physiology when you’re feeling your best—when everything is going your way and you’re in a terrific mood. How do you walk? How loud is your voice? Do you gesture? Are you sitting or standing? Do you talk quickly or slowly? Do you stand tall or slouch?

Once you’ve made your list, carry it with you. Memorize it. The next time you’re in a slump and want to change your attitude, pull out your list and begin consciously acting the way you do when you’re feeling great. It may feel unnatural at first, but soon you’ll find yourself in a better mood. Remember, it’s easier to act your way into a new sense of feeling, than it is to feel your way into new sense of acting!

Stop showing up to work looking your ½ best. Press your pants, put on a clean ironed shirt and dress like you want to strut! Seems trivial I know but its true. The way you look on the outside will reflect the way you feel on the inside. My mother-in-law likes to remind me that there is no such thing as an ugly person, just a lazy one! Ouch… I think about that too often when I am caught grocery shopping in a ball cap and sweats. (As they say, the truth will set you free… but first it will really piss you off!)

3. Laugh, learn and take responsibility

When something bad happens, look for the good in it and take full responsibility for the bad. Among salespeople, those who aren’t afraid to admit when they’re wrong are the same who comprise the ranks of the top performers. Customers don’t have time for mistakes and blame. Being honest or “coming clean” makes you more trustworthy and earns you something that’s truly invaluable—a reputation for integrity. So the next time you make a mistake, ask yourself what you can learn from it. Then take that lesson and use it.

4. Train your mind for success by achieving a realizable goal every day

In life, people often get into a negative rut because they feel they aren’t making progress. If that sounds familiar, then try setting a small but achievable goal for yourself every day. Make a list. Write down each goal, and when you’ve achieved each one, cross it off. Before too long you’ll have a pattern of successful achievement that will help you develop a pattern of positive thinking.

5. Keep a success journal

Make note of your success and visit them regularly. It’s important to remember how far you have come and celebrate those successes. Each time you achieve a goal, recognize that accomplishment before you go on. Reward yourself. When you are facing a tough time, pull out your success journal and get excited about all the wins you have had. Remind yourself, if you were successful yesterday, you can be successful tomorrow.

Take ownership of your behavior and assumptions. Remember, no one made you come up with your thoughts, opinions, assumptions and conclusions. And only you can steer things right.

Let’s debunk that myth right away, it is true that those things help you, but they are not a prerequisite for definitive success. The last time I checked you didn’t need a degree from an accredited university to come up with a brilliant concept, service, or product. Ideas are the foundations of success. You could know everything there is to know about business, but if you have to offer, you have nothing to sell. If you have an idea to improve a product, offer a service that is needed or desired, or have a ground-breaking idea that companies, governments, or individuals are willing to exchange money for then you have the foundations for a successful business venture.

Point #2: Leverage your current skill sets

As I said in Point #1, you don’t need to necessarily have the business skills and knowledge that is taught in business schools and programs to be successful, but it helps greatly to know someone who does, we’ll talk about this a little later. First it time to look internally at your own hidden skills. We’ll start with your networking skills, they’re essential for business because it always helps to know people. You have these skills already; you just have to identify them. You meeting your neighbors, those you attend church with, your hairdresser, your child’s teacher, etc. Your social skills are the beginning of networking, which is essentially creating a roster of people you know who you may need to call upon. You have sales skills… yes you do. Getting your child to take their medicine, do their homework, do their chores, or to do anything they don’t feel they need to do is selling, same concept, just a different purpose. You have management skills, keeping your children in line, getting them off to school, managing the house, and all the errands and chores take management skills, you’ve already got them. Another skill is creativity, this cannot be taught. Coming up with songs to sing to your children, games to play, and creative outlets for them all takes an innovator’s and inventor’s mind a key skill when running your own company.

Point #3: Determine your goals

Your company can be whatever you want it to be, and for whatever purpose. You can make just enough to pay for a new outfit a month and a trip to the spa, play for Johnny’s and Susie’s college education, or become the next corporate giant. Your venture can be full-time, part-time, seasonal, day, night, etc. Your company’s strategy, focus, and direction are determined by your goals, so whatever you decide upon simply stick to it. Success does not mean a certain annual revenue, or company size, or market share. These are only definitions of success if that was the initial goal, meeting and/or exceeding your goals defines success.

Point #4: Take an inventory

This portion has to do a little with marketing, finance, strategy, sales, etc in business but within the context of who you know. You have a plethora of people who are potentially in your target market (those who you are in business for, whose needs you want to meet). You call them play groups, church groups, fellow soccer moms, the PTA, etc. If your business is a business that caters to other mom’s you already have a group of people you know to run your ideas by. You can sample your services, product, or can weigh in on your idea to see if it’s feasible or not. These same people have skill sets that may benefit you, or know people who can help. Take an inventory of who you know, and of what organizations you belong to, you may find some hidden gems that can be beneficial to your business idea.

Point #5: Exploit technology to help you

Technology doesn’t have to become a burden, being able to use it to your advantage can ease some suffering and solve many problems. Most web hosting companies offer templates of websites that you download and change, not much more difficult then using a word processor. There are services you can use for a small fee that can collect payments for you, and help run your business. If you have a child over the age of 10, chances are they can set-up all of your technology for you. Generally all you need is a computer and a broadband connection, they can do the rest. Don’t be afraid to use them, besides you’ve cleaned up after them, stayed up all night with them, time for them to return the favor.

Point #6: Know when to use outside help

Sometimes you face a challenge or task in business that is beyond your knowledge. This is when you want to look for outside assistance. Depending on whom you know (see Point #4) or your how much your making you can always bring in outside help. You don’t have to hire employees; some people will work pro bono or on a contract basis. There are also government resources that can assist you. Visit your local Small Business Association (www.sba.gov) they offer a wide variety of free services, some even cater to women in helping them level the playing field. Bringing in someone to help doesn’t mean you have to give up control or change direction. Remember this is your idea, your vision, and ultimately your company.

Stir in a full cup of Commitment, Slowly add one heaping spoonful of Planning, Ideas, Capital, and Fun Add to this a pinch of Faith (about the size of a mustard seed), and stir all until well blended. With lots of Action, you will soon start to see the results of your Effort and Hard Work.

If your success doesn't come true the first time, start the recipe over again - this time with more feeling. Discovering what you need to do to make the recipe for success work, places you at the threshold of where you wish to be. Listen to the voice inside of you. Trust the source that comes from a Higher Power. He knows all of your wishes, your dreams, your ideas, and your plans for fulfilling them. You will be guided by the wisdom of the ages.

To do this you must start from a new point of action. Get rid of all doubt, confusion, and fear that prevents you from succeeding and reaching your goals. Then you will no longer react to the negative things in your life, but will live with a purpose, and go forth with confidence. Negative events will have no affect on you or the choices you make.

Pay attention to the guidance you receive. Your "inner ear" will lead you to the right choice and in the right direction. If it's something you desire now, go for it. Fearing to make that commitment will make you loose the opportunity - and it may just be the opportunity of your lifetime.

Feel free to change the "recipe for success" in any way you wish. It's yours to amend so that it fits your desires, your goals, your dreams, your life. Make it important enough to change your life. If you're in business become aware of how you conduct yourself with your clients, associates, employees, your vendors and suppliers. Measure their performance based on the way you interact and/or react to them.

If your performance is negative and critical, change it. If it's positive and uplifting, keep doing it. Try not to confuse or frustrate others. Try not to let them confuse, frustrate or anger you. Be aware of your feelings moment by moment. Do you show anger? Doubt? Fear? Are you judgmental? How can you stop your thoughts from controlling you? Knowing how is the first step to knowing yourself. This leads to empowerment - and success.

Can you do it? Can you actually take this step in faith?

As a Silver Level Power Seller for 4 years, and having made 12,000 sales on eBay, I have experiemented with many techniques for making sales, creating customer relationships, and building my eBay business. Here are my top 10 techniques for a successful eBay store:

1) Use the eBay Store traffic reports. With this info, you can make educated adjustments to your store that will improve sales.

2) Run 1-cent auctions to drive traffic to your store. Think of these auctions as “advertisements” that will drive shoppers into your store.

3) List your entire inventory in your eBay Store. At 5 cents per listing, 500 items will only cost $25 per month. These products will show up on search engines, driving traffic to your store, and on eBay searches. The more items you have out there to pull buyers in, the more buyers you have the capability to attract.

4) Register and assign a domain name to your eBay Store. You can assign any domain to your eBay Store through your store manager.

5) Accept PayPal as a payment method. Over 80% of eBay users have Paypal, and use it as their preferred method of payment.

6) Drive advertising to your store via eBay Keywords.

7) Use your store categories wisely. eBay allows you to create up to 20 product categories for easy buyer navigation. This category structure not only insures that buyers will be able to find what they are looking for, but it also increases the likelihood that your store will be indexed with search engines.

8) Have a fair return policy. Customers may not use it, but they may buy from you over your competition if you have a fair return policy, and the competition doesn’t.

9) Keep your shipping fees fair and competitive.

10) Use the promotion boxes provided on MANAGE YOUR STORE. You can do all kinds of creative things like create a slide show, or show featured items for holidays or special events. Experiment with that feature if you have never used it.

Some other types of engineering careers available are aviation, automotive and also software engineering. As you can see, these are just a few that have been mentioned, but every main category can be split up into lots of different fields. If you wanted to be a software engineer, you could consider being a games software engineer or even a communications software engineer. The choice is entirely yours.
