The Amazon affiliate program is over a million strong and growing, but that doesn't mean it's over-tapped. If you have a niche market that you know how to advertise to, and can link them to items for sale on Amazon that fit their needs, you can have easy money coming in.

You can find a number of other affiliate programs by doing a google search for 'affiliate guide'.

Chances are an affiliate program will not make you a millionaire. It probably won't even pay all the bills, but it is a nice supplemental income that you can create out of something you love. That is the secret. Make sure the affiliate program is something you are interested in or know a lot about. If you create a website that teaches people about that topic, even helps them to understand your passion for it, it may stir a little passion for them that makes them in turn want to make a purchase, and make a commission for you.

So in order to achieve great success working from home, you must first understand the difference between Linear Income, Leveraged Income & Passive Residual Income.

Let's take a look:

Income Type #1 or Linear Income, is income generated by working at a job. When you work, you get paid. When you do not work, you do not get paid. This is how most people live their lives and why those who only work for Linear Income, can never stop working.

Income Type #2 or Leveraged Income, is a little better than Linear Income, but still not that great, because your income is based on the efforts of those who earn linear income. This is where you can get paid from the work of others, like being a small business owner or a manager, however, leveraged income does not offer real security, because linear income employees, can quit, find a higher paying job or start their own competing business.

Income Type #3 or Passive Residual Income is the income that pays on the efforts of others, but comes from the repeat purchases of consumable products or services, which people order month after month for years, and often times even decades. This is income that you work for once and get paid forever! This type of income is most commonly created in the MLM (Mulit-Level Marketing) or Network Marketing industry. Network Marketing allows ordinary people to achieve extraordinary success in a home based business because every distributor has the same exact opportunity to gain. This means that anyone, regardless of where they live, how old they are, or what their experience is, can earn as much or as little as they like, based on their own commitment and effort.

Passive residual income is also the kind of income that grows more each month and allows people to live without financial limits. Imagine doing what you want, with whom you want, for as long as you want. Wouldn't this be the best type of income?

US Job Market Bullish In July

The job market will likely have another strong month in July 2006 with an estimated 58 percent of employers in the manufacturing and service sectors planning on increased hiring, according to the findings of a recent study released last July 27.

The leading Indicator of National Employment (LINE), a report that was jointly authored by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Rutgers University School of Management and Labor Relations, provides an early, accurate indication of changing job market conditions and is closely attuned with the regular report of the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The report surveyed Human Resources in 500 manufacturing and 500 service companies.

The report relies on extensive surveys of Human Resources executives in manufacturing and service sector corporations to come up with economic indicators that identify early economic trends and changes in the national job market. The report focuses on four key employment measures, namely, job expectations, job vacancies, new-hire compensation and recruitment difficulty.

Employment expectations in the manufacturing sector remain strong for July but are lower than in June. However, the outlook for July 2006 is still better than in July 2005. The report indicates that the demand for workers is increasingly strong, with more vacant positions for both exempt and nonexempt staff. However, HR executives say that they are having a difficult time finding and recruiting qualified workers with the required skills. Despite this apparent shortage of available workers, there are no plans to increase new-hire compensation.

In the service industry, a reported 58% of employers plan to expand their labor force over in July 2006, a figure which is actually down from 66 percent in June, but still a strong indicator of an expansionary job market. Close to a third of employers reported an increasing number of vacancies that they are actively trying to fill and about 21 percent said it was getting harder to find qualified workers. This reflects a five percent increase from June.

Traffic patterns in various regions may seem normal to the locals, but truckers who travel all over the country have to learn to adapt!

In most parts of the USA, traffic patterns are pretty bland. Left turns are left turns. Right turns are right turns. A freeway off ramp has a stop at the end of the ramp and a turn onto the side road. Freeways are for non-stop driving. But if you’re a trucker or if you travel a lot, you know that there are some areas that have some interesting twists on driving patterns.

New Jersey has the jug handle. The first time I encountered this in a set of directions to a freight company in New Jersey, I thought whoever wrote it must have been drinking. My directions said, “Take the jug handle for a left turn on Everett Street.” What the heck? I found out that it means that instead of turning left on Everett Street, you will follow a turn off to the right which will then swing you around perpendicular so that you cross over the street you just left. You effectively make a left turn without ever turning left.

Michigan has the Michigan left turn. A lot of intersections in Michigan won’t allow a left turn. To turn left, you get in the left lane and continue straight through the intersection. Just beyond the intersection there will be a break in the center divider/median that allows for a u-turn. You take the u-turn and get over in the right lane to make a right turn. You effectively make a left turn without ever turning left. Try this in a 75-foot-long truck and see what you think about it!

Texas and Arkansas and parts of Louisiana have a network of frontage roads. Instead of the traditional exit ramp with an intersection, the exit ramp feeds onto a side road that runs parallel to the freeway. These are usually one-way roads, but once in a while you’ll find a two-way frontage road, which will really throw you off if you’re not prepared for it! The traffic on the frontage road generally is required to yield to the traffic coming off the freeway. I have been in numerous traffic jams in Texas and watched pickup truck after pickup truck drive across the grass divider between the freeway and the frontage road.

California has checkpoints on the freeway where all traffic has to stop. Truckers lovingly refer to these as “bug checks.” They do this to be sure that contaminated fruit, vegetables and livestock do not enter California. I 8 in California and Arizona and I 10 in Arizona and Texas have checkpoints on the freeway where all traffic has to stop. These are border patrol checkpoints and you are asked if you are an American citizen. Usually, the person asking has a strong foreign accent and truckers often joke that THEY are the ones who need to be asking if the immigration official is an American citizen.

In New York, the freeway overpasses in Brooklyn and Queens are marked as 12’2”. They used to be marked 12”6’ but apparently they shrank. There are signs that tell truckers that if their trucks are taller than 12’2” they must take the next exit. The trucks you see on the freeway are 13’6”, so you’d think there would be no trucks on the BQE (I 278). But the truckers know that these bridges are marked well below their actual height- though most of them stay out of the right lane (where the overpass is lowest) just in case. They also know that if they follow the directions to exit, they will be in trouble. Once off the exit, there are no detour signs or directions whatsoever and an 18-wheeler isn’t something you want to be driving around aimlessly on city streets.

What it comes down to is that you can never take roads for granted. When you travel in areas you aren’t used to, you always have to pay attention to traffic patterns and expect to be surprised by them now and then.

The soil samples were then examined, processed and transported for laboratory analysis in accordance with US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) protocols. The NYSDEC was notified of the laboratory results showing elevated levels of petroleum compounds in the soil.

At this point remedial activities to remove the contaminated soil began.

Remedial Action

With oversight by Environmental and Safety Consultants, excavation and removal of the contaminated soil began. Hazards were minimized during the removal and transport of the petroleum contaminated material.

At this site, petroleum contamination was detectable to 15 feet in depth, with non-contaminated groundwater encountered at 16 feet.

Following removal of the material contaminated by the petroleum spill, confirmatory samples were collected from the walls and bottom and sent for laboratory analysis.

With NYSDEC approval, the site was backfilled with clean soil and gravel.

Sampling Activities and Analytical Results

Reference citations, specific testing results and summaries were attached to the Remedial Action Report.

Waste Generation and Disposal

The specific documentation of procedures, weights, methods and locations were included and attached.

Conclusion

Petroleum impacted soil was successfully removed.

This Petroleum Spill Remedial Action Report was submitted to the NYSDEC with the request that the case on the specified spill site be closed.
