Joel Hauer is a 19-year-old entrepreneur studying Architecture & Property Economics at UNSW. Joel started an online business in January 2007, retailing in memorabilia & Famous Autographs, through the web site: http://www.mymemorabilia.com.au

Joel has developed the business within University holidays, and aims to fill the niche entertainment memorabilia market in Australia. The online store is designed for ease of use, and to promote online sales, charity events, and consignment sales.

Memorabilia is sourced internationally through auction houses, and also through collectors. Joel started selling through online and offline auction sites about 4 years ago and has finally decided to take the leap and make it into a professional business; “I have met very influential people who have helped me with great business advice, a collector has asked me to sell 500+ of his pieces, and another collector has offered a further 100 pieces”.

My Memorabilia recently donated an autographed guitar to a charity auction, which raised over $30,000. “I would like to engage in charity organised events which help raise awareness and money for the people who really need it”. Joel has plans to expand the My Memorabilia group to charity organised executive events, along with a wish list of other ventures in business, such as advertising, clothing retailers, technology providers.

“I have huge plans for the business, huge aspirations and I’m sure I can make anything happen.
